Odoo CMS - a big picture

FluidFM BOT system with integrated Olympus IX83: An unmatched system for single cell experiments

Our ground-breaking FluidFM BOT system will be presented at the booth of our partner Olympus. The FluidFM BOT system is built around the patented FluidFM hollow probe technology to perform unique single cell nano-injection, nano-extraction, cell isolation and nano-printing experiments, with one semi-automatized tool. Through the microfluidic channel inside FluidFM probes, a vast variety of materials – from small molecules to proteins, CRISPR Cas complexes, RNAs, plasmids and PLL – can be injected into, extracted from single cells or printed on other substrates. Manipulation of various cell types such as HeLa, HEK, CHO, C2C12, neurons and human iPS cells is currently being undertaken. The combination of various applications such as nano-injection with single cell isolation enables novel designs and totally new research approaches such as building neural networks.

The integrated Olympus IX83 inverted microscope has been carefully selected by our engineers, in close cooperation with those of Olympus, to maximize the throughput and functionality of the FluidFM BOT. The fully-motorized and automated inverted microscope system for live cell imaging is designed with the scientist’s workflow in mind.

About the Conference

Focus on Microscopy 2019 is the continuation of a yearly conference series presenting the latest innovations in optical microscopy and their application in biology, medicine and the material sciences. Key subjects for the conference series are the theory and practice of 3D optical imaging, related 3D image processing, and reporting especially on developments in resolution and imaging modalities. The conference series covers also the rapidly advancing fluorescence labeling techniques for confocal and multi-photon 3D imaging of -live- biological specimens.
