Grab and relocate single cells and other micro-sized objects.

Localized Dispensing
Dispense the tiniest amount of liquid. In air or in immersion.
What are the typical flows and volumes involved when working with FluidFM probes?
The flow of water through a FluidFM cantilever is typically in the range of fl/s to pL/s. This is 1000x below even the best flow sensors, which have detection limits of around 1 nL/s. Accordingly the dispensed volumes start at single fL for applications such as spotting in air or injecting cells.
How long can I use the same FluidFM probe?
The lifetime of a FluidFM probe depends greatly on the experimental conditions, as well as on the applied filling, cleaning and storage protocols. Thus, a FluidFM probe’s lifetime varies between one experiment (a few hours) and one month. Please contact us for advice on the optimal probe protocols for your experiment.
