We are seeking a highly motivated biologist with a strong technical background to contribute to the development of our cell line engineering service. This role is ideal for cell biologists that are keen on taking up new challenges in a high-paced environment.
Your Challenge
- Hands-on development of efficient processes for our cell line engineering workflow in collaboration with our interdisciplinary team of cell line engineers, biologists and automation specialists
- Active participation in the continuous improvement of our workflow by identifying risks and failures and solving technical issues
- Development of innovative solutions to streamline the cell line engineering process and enhance our portfolio
- Analysis and interpretation of experimental results incl. identification of trends, anomalies, and opportunities for further research
- Meticulous performance of experiments, ensuring high standards of accuracy and reproducibility
- Presentation of findings and updates to internal stakeholders, clearly communicating the implications and potential applications of the results
- Contribution to the maintenance of a well-organized and efficient lab environment
Your Profile
- Master or PhD in cell biology or a related field
- At least 3-5 years of practical experience, with industry experience being of great advantage
- Strong technical knowledge in mammalian cell culture, incl. maintenance and expansion (especially handling difficult cells such as immune cells, iPSC’s, neuronal cells, etc.)
- Technical knowledge in general laboratory techniques (DNA extraction, PCR, sequencing, immunofluorescence, etc.)
- Comfortable with wet-lab work, experimental troubleshooting and handling lab equipment (e.g. cell seeder, imager, etc.)
- Experience in designing and optimizing experiments, monitoring performance, and implementing improvements
- Experience in process development in cell line development is of advantage
- Capable of working autonomously, taking ownership of projects, and driving innovation
- Ability to set the problem space and define key questions with a problem-solving mindset
- High proficiency in English (written and spoken)
